Pickleball in South Florida

Pickleball is taking over the nation! The sport has become wildly popular in Jupiter, Palm Beach, and all throughout South Florida and it’s easy to see why; the game, which is a combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, is played on a smaller court with paddles and a perforated plastic ball, making it easier than tennis and as competitive as you want it to be. It's a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels, making it a great way to stay active and social.

The popularity of pickleball in Jupiter can be attributed to several factors. For one, the warm climate and sunny weather make it a perfect location for outdoor sports. Additionally, the sport has been embraced by the local community, with many parks and recreation centers offering dedicated pickleball courts.

Dedicated Pickleball Clubs

If you want lessons, leagues and tournaments under one roof, two clubs are worth knowing about in South Florida. Boca Paddle by CityPickle in Boca Raton is a members’ club with pickleball and padel courts, clinics and organized play; its site lists the opening as fall 2026. Farther south, The Fort in Fort Lauderdale opened in 2025 with what was billed as the world’s first pickleball stadium, and it hosts pro events along with open play.

Pickleball has become one of the first things many of our buyers ask about. If courts, leagues or a club with an active pickleball community are on your list, our team can point you to the neighborhoods that fit.
