Tip #1 - Hire professional movers. Please don't be the guy that cold calls everyone he knows with a pickup truck, it's not a good look.

Tip #2 - Don't pack all of your cleaning supplies. As you're moving you'll most likely find areas in your home that need some extra love, or maybe you'll make a mess as you're moving. This tip will prevent the classic "tee shirt wipe down" and allow you to clean as you go!

Tip #3 - Pack a suitcase and live out of it for the duration of your move. We all know how stressful it can be living in a sea of boxes unable to find your favorite socks.

Tip #4 - Turn your AC off! As you move, years of dust and debris can end up floating into your air conditioner, so turning it off could prevent needing premature service.

Tip #5 - Hire professional cleaners for the home you're leaving, and the home you're moving into. Nothing is better than leaving a clean slate and walking into another one, so spend the extra money to establish your new home on the right foot!
