This picture was taken in 2016 after I had had a major break through in my business — I had officially sold 15 homes and closed $8 million in volume. I had also recently convinced the broker and owner of KW Jupiter to let me have one of the coveted corner offices for my team.

At the time, my team was bouncing around the common areas at Keller Williams, trying to work from various work stations as we quickly grew. My sales volume certainly didn’t warrant a corner office yet, but we were growing rapidly and I needed space for my team to work.

A corner office had come available, and I pitched the leadership team the idea of me taking the newly available space, assuming they would shoot me down.

Guys, I was SO excited when they agreed.

They told me that I could use the space, as long as I understood that I had to vacate if a recruiting opportunity arose for them to land a “mega agent”. I didn’t really know what what defined a “mega agent”, but the other two corner offices at KW were occupied by two pretty major teams who were out of my league at the time, so I had a good idea of what I was up against, and how far away I was from “mega agent” territory.

This pic was taken a few weeks after we occupied the space (a tiny, two desk office by the way. But God I loved it in there 🥰), when it was clear that I wasn’t going anywhere. When they finally ordered the vinyl decal and put my team’s name on the door, it was one of the best days of that entire year.

We ended up moving on from KW, but four years later I constantly think about where I started and the people who helped me get to where I am now. My clients, fellow agents, my team, family and friends - I am grateful for all of it. Every person, hurdle, thorn, and all those who clapped & cheered for me in the process.

Nowadays, if I have an $8M MONTH, I’m happy but not satisfied. 😂 I’ve come far and while we all start somewhere, I am always grateful for where I started. ❤️
